The IKM at Berlin Science Week
Viadrina is taking part in Berlin Science Week with its ‘Conversation Lab for Europe’s Future’
What if the very conversations we’d rather avoid are the ones our society needs most urgently? Do come along – get involved and help shape how we deal with increasing polarisation, digital upheavals and social change.
The Viadrina Conversation Lab invites you to ask the uncomfortable questions: How do we negotiate issues that divide us? How do AI and digital transformation affect our democracy? How are political, cultural and social upheavals changing our understanding of Europe – and how can we shape this development together?
Together, we’ll challenge certainties, explore new perspectives and ask: *What futures are possible? Which ones do we want? And how do we make them our new present?*
Through mini-keynotes, discussions on an equal footing and short coaching sessions, the ‘Conversation Lab for Europe’s Future’ brings together diverse lived experiences and research perspectives on future societal issues – from far-right extremism and disinformation, through democracy and conflict, to polarisation and dilemmas in politics, local communities and academic institutions.
