CoDe Lab

CoDe Lab

The CoDe Lab series is a programme of events designed to discover, try out and shape the study course at Conflict and Democracy Master’s programme. We invite all prospective students, academic colleagues and practice partners to learn more about the study programme’s content through the lens of current issues, to try out its interactive approach and to contribute their own ideas and interest to the design of the Master’s study course.

Dr Anne Holper’s workshop focused on the question of how Germany can and should use the current developments in the Russia-Ukraine war to campaign for an end to the conflict. The aim was to initiate an open-ended, collective discussion on this issue and to gather participants’ views and suggestions on how Germany could help bring Russia’s war against Ukraine to an end. Following a brief introduction to the current situation, the participants discussed various approaches and ideas, weighed up obstacles and risks, and considered how these might be overcome in practical terms.

More about the event

There will be a particular focus on the types of conflicts they encountered whilst working abroad and what they learnt about dealing with these conflicts. Those interested in the MA CoDe programme can find out more and discuss international career prospects and internship opportunities in the context of diplomacy in a small-group setting.
