Academic Staff Member and project manager "Impact Hub: Integrated effectiveness of integrated peace engagement"Thomas Eißler completed his Master's degree in "International Organisations and Crisis Management" at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. He previously studied political science and history at the University of Tübingen.
He most recently worked as a consultant at a communications and strategy consultancy. There he focussed on crisis and political communication for multinational corporations, associations and public institutions. Thomas gained extensive experience in the field of crisis prevention, stabilisation and peacebuilding. He worked at the BMZ in the field of peace and security, while at the EEAS he dealt with financing instruments for international cooperation, the implementation of the HDP nexus and European peace engagement in fragile states. At the Peacebuilding Support Office of the UN Secretariat, he supported the preparation and implementation of meetings of the Peacebuilding Commission.
At the Institute for Conflict Management, Thomas Eißler works as a project manager for the Impact Hub. The Impact Hub is concerned with analysing the prerequisites for impact and the scientific monitoring of German integrated peace engagement.
